At Congregation B'nai Torah, we are committed
to providing our children with a meaningful and exciting Jewish
education.
Our goal is to create a warm, guiding environment where children
become comfortable with the Hebrew language and prayers,
and learn about holidays, observances and traditions, and
history. Together with their families, we help to instill
both a love for Judaism and a strong Jewish identity.
Our emphasis on Ruach (spirit) and Tzedaka (charity) teaches
the students to enjoy learning and to give back to the community.
In fact, many of our students return to the synagogue as adults;
enrolling their own children in our Hebrew school and in many
cases, teaching.
Our Hebrew School boasts a staff of highly trained educators
who teach kindergarten through grade 7. Mechina and Primary
(K-2) meet from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday. Grades 3-7 meet
from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday and from 4:15 pm to 6:30
pm on Tuesday.
Our post Bar/Bat Mitzvah program for grade
8 meets 4:15 pm to 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
B'nai Torah also participates in the
community-wide Merkaz Hebrew High School program.
